Craft Care Packs Bringing Creativity and Joy to Older People Across the UK
Each year or so we produce between 1,500 and 2,000 Craft Care Packs, filled with creative activities, puzzles and small treats.
These packs are distributed through organisations such as Age UK and the Salvation Army, reaching people in care homes and communities who may benefit from a moment of creativity and connection.
Over 17,000 packs delivered across the UK so far.
What’s Inside the Packs
Each Craft Care Pack is designed to provide creativity, relaxation and a small treat.
Typical contents include:
- A craft activity
- Crossword or puzzle book
- Colouring book
- Felt tip pens or colouring pencils
- Notebook and pens
- A small treat such as biscuits, fudge or sweets
- Each pack is presented in a limited edition fabric bag.
Each pack has an approximate value of £15–£20.
How our Craft Care Packs are Distributed
Our Craft Care Packs are distributed through trusted partners including:
Age UK
The Salvation Army
Age Concern
Each organisation typically receives 25–50 packs, which are then distributed to individuals in care homes and community groups.
This ensures the packs reach people who may be isolated or in need of a creative activity and a little lift.

Bringing joy to seniors
Having received my craft care package today from Silver I wanted to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ for such a lovely thoughtful gift.
I have this lovely gift to help pass the time away.
I’ve been involved with Silver for more than 10 years and love helping with the Craft Care Pack campaigns. Knowing that the packs bring joy to people across the UK makes it so worthwhile, and it feels good to give something back.

It feels like Christmas. This is so lovely I now have something to do. Oh thank you so much. I will start painting this afternoon. Oh my word I love puzzle books and colouring.
